Playing with the Bridge Legends" Masterpoint Press 2000. It is featured on page 152. The hand was given to me by Cezary Balicki one of the finest bridge cardplayers in the world. He remembered it from a Polish tournament. Balicki is seated in the South chair.

Had Balicki found West to hold the 4 diamonds. He would have led clubs and when East each time returned a trump to stop the ruff in dummy, he would have run trumps to catch West in a red suit squeeze. It was pointed out on Bridgewinners site that this hand and theme is similar to one shown in a book by
Hugh Kelsey , and Geza Ottlick , Adventures in Card play"
