I first met Eddie through a good friend Don Krauss who I met at the Monte Carlo tournament in 1975.

When I visited Don in Los Angeles I met Eddie and Billy Eisenberg and had a great time. Eddie introduced me to paddle tennis on Venice beach – you can’t get much better than that.

Eddie has a great sense of humour and endless bridge stories to make you laugh.

As well as being a World Champion player Eddie writes about bridge in such a way to make it easy to learn to be a better player. I recommend his books all the time to bridge students. He used to write about his wife Yvonne and her bridge before he was married but he has stopped that now. She must be a much better player now or maybe Eddie’s just playing it safe!
